Question on the Ranges
« on: May 17, 2016, 09:42:33 AM »
Hi Adam,

I bought your ranges yesterday, and am very pleased with them and all the extras.:)

Just wondered if you wouldn't mind answering a couple of queries for me please.

1/ What is your suggested opening amounts for the rfi ranges? I currently use 2.5 for

all but button for which I use min and obviously open a lot wider there.

2/ The light blue mixed strat hands, are you saying these are all to be both flatted

and/or 3bet, and for simplicity sake just use a 50/50 frequency?

3/ Lastly, do you know of anywhere to find user manual/vids for PowerEquilab? It's some the

mathematics features I can't get to grips with.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give,

Kind regards,

MGM1000

1. Your current size is fine by default. These should be varied exploitatively in many spots, but this is a different topic.

2. 50/50 frequency is reasonable. We can likely get away with 3betting them all. Note that this is an exploitative response to the fact that the majority of lower limit guys have a super low 4bet-range. Once someone starts having a 4bet range of above 5%, we should likely cold-call most of the hands in Cyan now.

3. No.....well, there is the website which has some info http://power-equilab.com/index.php/features but not sure how in-depth it is. Those guys are struggling a lot with bugs right now so no guarantee that the .hr file works like it should, but it's work in progress.

If you're saying to 3bet all the cyan ranges at the lower limits, do you stop 3betting the red bluff range, or do you keep some of it?

No, 3bet the hands in red also. Your 3bet stat goes through the roof and you exploit guys really hard for having low 4bet range.
